When you climb up a mountain, you get a lot of tree time. This amazing tree found me on the Sulphur Mountain trail in Banff. Greens, oranges and yellows lit it up.

Have you ever spotted a little lonely tree on the edge of a mountain? Well, this little guy needed a hug and then just needed to be painted.

If you only get one hike in life, choose Tent Ridge. It’s a magical walk along the ridgeline of 3 mountains. This mountain is full of shadows and mystery.

Along Two Jack Lake you’ll find this little tree island, just waiting for you to jump across the rocks to get there. Look up and enjoy the swaying pines. It’s heaven on earth.

The Three Sisters rise above Canmore, welcoming us when the mountains call. Their silhouettes shift as we pass by, and they glow beneath the snow and night sky.

Mount Rundle watches over Banff from nearly every direction. I have fond memories of paddling Vermilion Lakes beneath its glow and plans to hike it this summer.

You’ll find this big mossy covered rock tucked away on the side of a trail. The droopy trees will call out to you, and you will stop too and get sucked into the bed of moss above.
